Guwahati: In a shocking incident, a miscreant has attempted to kidnap a 6-year-old minor girl in Nagaon district of Assam on Thursday.
The incident took place at about 2 am in the No.1 Hatigaon Tea Estate of Kaliabor.
The miscreant has been identified as Ahmed Ali.
According to reports, 6-year-old girl was kidnapped from the bedroom while she was sleeping with her mother.
Reportedly, Ahmed took the minor towards the jungle, but as she cried out for help, he abandoned her and fled.
The victim girl was rescued by her parents.
Meanwhile, police officials have registered a case and started an investigation into the matter.
