Guwahati: Miscreants attacked a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader in Nalbari district of Assam on Friday night.
The incident took place in the Bornibari area of the district.
The BJP leader identified as Rina Talukdar.
According to reports, Talukdar was seriously injured after being attacked with sharp weapons by unidentified assailants.
Reportedly, Talukdar was assaulted when two miscreants broke into her home late at night while no other members of her family were present.
It needs to be mentioned that Taludkar is in a critical condition in a private hospital in Nalbari.
