Guwahati: In an untoward incident, unidentified miscreants have allegedly looted two temples in Hojai district of Assam.
The incident took place at the Samboria in Lanka town of the district.
As per the sources of MyNewsNE, a number of valuables and cash were stolen from Shri Shiva temple and Durga temple.
Servitors realized that the temples were burgled when they reopened both the temples for rituals in the morning.
It needs to noted that an FIR has been lodged at Lanka police station in this connection and further investigation is underway.
