Guwahati: In an untoward incident, a businessman has been severely injured after miscreants opened fire on him in Guwahati on Monday.
The incident took place in Panjabari.
The injured person has been identified as Ranjit Bora, the manager of Purabi Dairy.
According to reports, Bora sustained bullet injury in head after miscreants opened fire at him.
Reportedly, Bora owns a distributor of Purabi Dairy.
The incident reportedly occurred as he was going to the bank to deposit money.
Bora was taken to Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) for treatment.
Locals claimed that he was shot by unidentified miscreants.
