Guwahati: A daylight robbery was reported in Guwahati of Assam in which bike-riding criminals allegedly stole Rs 10 lakh from a woman in the Panbazar area on Friday.
The incident occurred near the BSNL office in Panbazar.
According to reports, the woman arrived to Panbazar for work after withdrawing money from the Central Bank of India in Lokhra.
Reportedly, two men on a black pulsar bike approached her as she was about to exit her vehicle and took the bag of money before driving away.
Meanwhile, the victim woman filed a police report about the incident at Panbazar police station.
Police suspect that the bikers had been following her from Lokhra and had waited for the ideal moment to strike.
