Missile Scare Near Tel Aviv Diverts Air India Flight to Abu Dhabi

A sudden missile strike in the vicinity of Ben Gurion Airport near Tel Aviv on Sunday necessitated the diversion of an Air India flight traveling from Delhi to Abu Dhabi, as reported by sources within the aviation industry.

Flight AI139, operated by a Boeing 787 Dreamliner, was nearing its destination, less than sixty minutes away from landing, when alarms indicating nearby missile activity triggered an immediate shutdown of the airspace surrounding the Israeli airport.

In response to the potential threat, air traffic control directed the aircraft to alter its course as a safety precaution, ensuring the well-being of all those on board.

Fortunately, all passengers and crew members are reported to be safe following the unexpected rerouting. The flight is currently anticipated to return to its origin city of Delhi. Authorities are actively observing the evolving security situation and have not yet provided a timeline for the resumption of flight operations to Tel Aviv.
