Guwahati, 26th April: As the Lok Sabha elections unfold in Assam, the state witnesses a mixed voter turnout, with varying levels of participation across different constituencies by 11 am. Assam records an overall voter participation rate of 27.43 percent during this period.
Diphu Constituency Takes the Lead
Diphu constituency emerges as the frontrunner in voter engagement, registering the highest turnout of 30.82 percent by 11 am. This robust early participation reflects strong voter enthusiasm in Diphu.
Darrang Udalguri Shows Commendable Engagement
In Darrang Udalguri constituency, voter turnout stands at 28.81 percent, indicating commendable interest and engagement among voters in this region.
Silchar and Nagaon Witness Varied Participation
On the flip side, Silchar records a slightly lower voter turnout, standing at 23.20 percent by the same time. Similarly, Nagaon constituency experiences a modest participation rate, with 25.29 percent of voters casting their ballots by 11 am.
