Mizoram: Aizawl to Witness Expanded LPG Home Delivery Services by 2025
AIZAWL: The Aizawl District Consumer Protection Council, under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Lalhriatpuia, convened a significant meeting at the DC Conference Hall to strategize the expansion of LPG home delivery services across the city.
This initiative aims to enhance distribution efficiency and improve access to essential fuel services for residents.
The meeting spotlighted Zothan Indane Agency, which announced it had achieved 100% LPG home delivery coverage in all localities under its jurisdiction. This achievement sets a benchmark for other distributors operating within the Aizawl Municipal Corporation (AMC) area.
To further extend services, LPG distributors confirmed plans to expand delivery operations to two additional localities starting January 2025. This development promises comprehensive coverage across Aizawl, addressing gaps in underserved areas. Residents will soon be able to book LPG deliveries with assurances of timely service.
To ensure seamless execution, a Monitoring Committee led by Additional DC P.C. Zonuntluangi has been established. This committee will oversee the implementation process, ensuring adherence to efficiency standards and regulatory compliance by gas agencies.
The meeting saw active participation from representatives of Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. (IOCL), Mizoram Consumer Union (MCU), the Young Mizo Association (CYMA), and officials from the Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA) Department. Together, these stakeholders aim to deliver a streamlined and consumer-friendly LPG distribution system for Aizawl residents.
This collaborative effort underscores the government’s commitment to improving essential services and setting a new standard for home delivery systems in Mizoram.
