Mizoram: Assam Rifles Felicitates Successful Candidates in Aizawl
Aizawl: The Assam Rifles recently held a felicitation ceremony in Aizawl to honor candidates who successfully secured positions in various Central Armed Police Forces. These individuals had undergone rigorous pre-recruitment training, encompassing both physical and written assessments.
Out of the 55 participants from villages near Aizawl, 32 candidates cleared the selection process, including 25 boys. During the ceremony, 20 candidates, including 17 boys and 3 girls, were presented with certificates and tokens of appreciation. This initiative has been met with widespread appreciation from candidates and their families, who expressed gratitude for the Assam Rifles’ commitment to community outreach.
In a separate operation, the Assam Rifles, in collaboration with Manipur Police and other security forces, conducted successful operations on December 22 in Churachandpur, Kangpokpi, and Bishnupur districts of Manipur. Acting on credible intelligence, joint forces conducted searches in areas such as Nepali Khutti and Laimaton Thangbuh Village in Kangpokpi district.
These operations resulted in the recovery of a significant cache of weapons and explosives, including a .303 sniper rifle (modified), a .22 rifle, two single-barrel rifles, a 9mm pistol, an IED, 100 grams of commercial explosives, two tube launchers, and other warlike stores.
