Mizoram Assembly Election: Union Minister Kiren Rijiju Criticizes Congress for Neglecting Northeast During Their Rule
Northeast Desk, 31st October: Union Minister Kiren Rijiju criticized the Congress party for neglecting the Northeastern region during their 60 years in power. He described the people of the Northeast as simple and often misguided, stating that they should instead question Rahul Gandhi and the Congress party about why they did not protect the Northeastern people and why the region was neglected during their rule.
Rijiju praised the policies laid down by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, emphasizing that only under the BJP can the Northeastern region achieve prosperity and progress along with the rest of the country.
He highlighted various initiatives and benefits the people of Mizoram are receiving under the BJP government, from access to clean drinking water, electricity, and proper roads to skill development, healthcare, education, and agricultural support.
Mizoram is set to go to the polls on November 7.
