Mizoram CM Lalduhoma Announces Establishment of Boundary Committee to Address Border Concerns with Neighboring States

Northeast Desk, 9th December: Mizoram’s newly sworn-in Chief Minister, Lalduhoma, has announced the establishment of a state-level boundary committee to address border concerns with neighboring states.

The state shares a 325-kilometer boundary with Assam to the north, Manipur to the east, and Tripura to the west.

Emphasizing the importance of inclusivity, Lalduhoma stated, “A boundary committee will be created, and our leaders will take measures to ensure the active involvement of all stakeholders in the committee.” Safeguarding the state’s borders has been highlighted as a top priority for his administration.

After taking the oath of office, Lalduhoma addressed reporters, underscoring the commitment to protecting Mizoram’s boundaries and fostering collaboration through the proposed committee.
