Mizoram: CNA Asserts Control Over Rihkhawdar Town, Hoists Flag on India-Myanmar Border

Northeast Desk: 14th November: The Chin National Army (CNA) has gained complete control over the border town in Myanmar’s western state amid clashes with the country’s army.

Rikhawdar, situated in Falam township of Chin state, now sees the CNA’s flag raised over the India-Myanmar border, securing total authority.

During the conflict along the Indo-Myanmar border on November 13, the CNA and its allied forces apprehended multiple junta soldiers and security personnel alive, resulting in casualties among junta soldiers.

As clashes intensified, 21 individuals, including civilians, sustained injuries and were transported to the Champhai District Hospital in Mizoram while one civilian passed away en route from Zokhawthar.

Reports indicate an estimated presence of 60 army personnel in each of the Myanmar Army camps. Reports suggest that the People’s Defense Force (PDF) significantly reduced the number of Myanmar Army personnel in both camps.

Despite the deployment of jet fighters and helicopters by the Myanmar Army, PDF fighters successfully seized control of two Myanmar camps along the Mizoram border.
