Northeast Desk, 4th December: Zoram People’s Movement (ZPM) has secured another victory in the Mizoram Assembly elections, with their candidate winning in the Aizawl North III constituency.
Dr Vanlalthlana, the ZPM candidate, is expected to be given a cabinet berth in the Lalduhoma-led ZPM government.
Lalduhoma, the chief ministerial face of ZPM, is set to meet the Governor after the official announcement of the election results.
The party has clarified that they won’t pursue a post-poll alliance, emphasizing the priority of the Chief Minister’s swearing-in.
The oath-taking ceremony for cabinet ministers is scheduled for a later date. ZPM’s success in multiple constituencies positions them favorably to form the government in Mizoram.
