Mizoram: First-time MLA Lalfamkima Elected Unopposed as Deputy Speaker in state Assembly

Northeast Desk, 15th December: In a significant political development, first-time Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) Lalfamkima from the Kolasib constituency in Mizoram was elected unopposed as Deputy Speaker. This marks a notable moment in Lalfamkima’s political career, highlighting the trust and confidence placed in him by his peers.

Born on December 5, 1966, Lalfamkima’s election as Deputy Speaker of the Ninth Mizoram Assembly is a noteworthy achievement. Representing the ruling Zoram People’s Movement (ZPM), he has embarked on his legislative journey alongside the newly appointed Speaker, Lalbiakzama.
