Mizoram Government Allocates Rs 150 Crore for Crop Purchase and Healthcare Bills
Northeast Desk, 12th December: In a significant move, the incumbent Mizoram state government, led by Chief Minister Pu Lalduhoma, has earmarked Rs 110 crore for the purchase of identified crops under a new government policy. Additionally, Rs 40 crore has been allocated to clear pending healthcare bills.
The decision was announced after the Chief Minister’s meeting with top officials from the Finance and Planning & Programme Implementation departments.
During the discussions, the Chief Minister addressed concerns about the late payment of tribal scholarships to students in past years.
He instructed officials to develop a mechanism to ensure timely disbursement of scholarships.
Furthermore, Pu Lalduhoma emphasized the importance of accurately reflecting the state’s financial position in the upcoming budget preparations.
