Mizoram Governor Appoints Four MLAs as Advisers to Chief Minister in Key Portfolios
The Governor of Mizoram, Hari Babu Kambhampati, has appointed four Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) as Advisers to the Chief Minister, granting them the rank and status of Minister of State, effective from the date of assuming charge.
The appointed advisers and their respective portfolios are as follows:
- Lalmunpaia Punte: Adviser to the Chief Minister (Political)
- TBC Lalvenchhunga: Adviser to the Chief Minister (Finance)
- H Ginzalala: Adviser to the Chief Minister (Technical)
- Dr Lorrain Lalpekliana Chinzah: Adviser to the Chief Minister (Health & Family Welfare & Agriculture)
Governor Kambhampati addressed the first session of the Ninth Mizoram Legislative Assembly on December 13, outlining the government’s directions under the new ministry to fulfill their policy of change, growth, and development for the state.
He congratulated the people of Mizoram for their significant participation in the recently concluded general election, citing a high voter turnout of 80.43%, reflecting the growing and intense interest of Mizoram’s citizens in the electoral process.
