Mizoram Health Minister Lalrinpuii Inaugurates Nursing Administrators Training Program in Aizawl

Aizawl: In a move to enhance healthcare management in Mizoram, Health and Family Welfare Minister Lalrinpuii inaugurated the Nursing Administrators Training Program on November 19 at the Planning and Programme Implementation Department Conference Hall in Aizawl.

The program aims to equip nurse administrators with advanced skills to improve healthcare services across the state.

In her keynote address, Lalrinpuii emphasized the pivotal role of nurse administrators in driving healthcare excellence. “Effective healthcare management hinges on strong leadership,” she stated. “This training program is a critical step in empowering nurse administrators to deliver high-quality services and improve patient outcomes.”

The training program is tailored to strengthen the administrative capabilities of nurses, preparing them to efficiently manage healthcare settings while addressing the holistic needs of patients. The initiative aligns with the state’s broader goal of raising healthcare standards and ensuring better service delivery.

The event also saw addresses from prominent dignitaries. Lalchhanhimi, Joint Director of the Directorate of Nursing, stressed the program’s role in professional development for nurses. Dr. Eric Zomawia, Director of the National Health Mission, expressed optimism about the initiative’s success in improving healthcare management. Kavita Khasa, Deputy Nursing Advisor to the Government of India, highlighted the importance of fostering effective nurse leadership to meet the challenges of modern healthcare.

The inauguration marks a significant step in Mizoram’s efforts to bolster its healthcare system, with the program expected to produce a cadre of skilled nursing administrators capable of transforming healthcare delivery in the state.
