Mizoram Lauded for AYUSH Excellence at National Conclave

Aizawl: Mizoram’s commitment to advancing traditional medicine under the National AYUSH Mission has garnered national recognition.

Pi Lalrinpuii, the state’s Health Minister, recently participated in the two-day National AYUSH Mission Conclave 2025 held in Lonavala, Pune, where her contributions were met with high praise from the Ministry of AYUSH.

During her address, Minister Lalrinpuii detailed the Mizoram government’s specific initiatives and ongoing efforts to bolster the National AYUSH Mission within the state. She pledged the state’s continued dedication to achieving optimal healthcare outcomes.

Expressing her appreciation, she acknowledged the Ministry of AYUSH’s responsiveness to Mizoram’s unique needs, emphasizing that this collaborative synergy is instrumental in the state’s contribution towards India’s vision of a “Viksit Bharat” through the National AYUSH Mission, and that the state is playing a commendable role in this endeavour.

Dr. S. Mara Thansiami, Deputy Director of Ayush, further showcased Mizoram’s best practices through a presentation on ‘Best Practices on Financial Management, Monitoring & Evaluation for Successful outcome of the Scheme’ at the prestigious conclave.

Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for the Ministry of Ayush, and Union Minister of State for the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Prataprao Jadhav, highlighted Mizoram’s exemplary progress, stating that it serves as a testament to the potential of smaller, remote states to deliver high-quality, accessible healthcare.

Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, Secretary of the Ministry of Ayush, echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the significant impact of the National AYUSH Mission’s initiatives in Mizoram, particularly in enhancing geriatric care and improving medicine accessibility in underserved regions.
