Guwahati: A suspected drug peddler has been arrested by the Crime Investigation Department (CID) and seized methamphetamine tablets in Aizwal district of Mizoram on Monday.
The CID team raided Zohnuai area at Vaivakawn neighbourhood of the district.
The woman has been identified as Tuanremi (46) who is a resident of Farkawn village in Champhai district bordering Myanmar.
According to reports, the CID team while in search recovered one lakh methamphetamine tablets and the woman was arrested immediately.
The police officials informed that the market worth of the seized drugs is said to be around Rs 30 crore.
Meanwhile, further investigation to unearth other linkages is on.
