Mizoram: Midnight Fire Engulfs Darlawn Village, Destroys Buildings

Northeast Desk, 20th July: A massive fire erupted in Mizoram’s Darlawn village. Thankfully, there were no human casualties reported, but a dog perished in one of the affected houses.

The blaze destroyed two Assam-type buildings and an RCC building, while another RCC building sustained partial damage. The fire was finally brought under control around 2 am on July 20 after a prolonged effort by the local community and firefighters.

Community leaders in Darlawn village have stated that the fire originated from an electrical circuit. The community has organized a volunteer effort to clear the debris today.
