Mizoram: Special Narcotics PS Team Seizes Over 41 Kg of Methamphetamine in Aizawl, Five Arrested

Northeast Desk, 4th September: The Special Narcotics PS team under CID Crime seized 41.234 kg of suspected methamphetamine, valued at approximately Rs 5.36 crore, during an operation at Lungverh, Sakawrtuichhun area in Aizawl on September 3.

Acting on specific intelligence, the personnel carried out the operation, resulting in the arrest of five individuals linked to the case. The arrested suspects have been identified as Edenthara (27) from Zemabawk, Rochharliana (38) and Vanlalvunga (47) from Champhai District, Nasir Uddin (34) from Karimganj in Assam, and Anurul Haque (37) from North Tripura.

Following the seizure and arrests, a case was registered under the ND&PS Act for further legal proceedings. An investigation has been launched to explore the backward and forward linkages of the drug trafficking network.
