Mizoram: Three Myanmarese among seven Arrested for possessing unaccounted cash
Northeast Desk, 11th March: Seven individuals, including three Myanmar nationals, were apprehended in Mizoram’s Lawngtlai district for possessing unaccounted cash, as reported by Assam Rifles in a statement.
Acting on a tip-off, authorities intercepted the seven individuals traveling in a pickup truck near RDS Bungtlang Junction on Sunday. Upon inspection, a total of Rs 2.86 lakh in Indian Rupees and Myanmarese Kyat 47 million (4.7 crore) were found in their possession.
The pickup truck, utilized for transporting the currency notes, was also seized by authorities.
