Aizawl: The Mizoram Transport Department has issued a public notice urging vehicle owners, permit holders, and driving license holders to update their records on the VAHAN and SARATHI portals to address discrepancies in official records.
According to the notice, multiple issues have been identified, including mismatches in Aadhaar and mobile numbers, unprocessed ownership transfers for sold vehicles, and failure to cancel registrations of scrapped vehicles. Additionally, the department flagged concerns over expired road tax, lapsed insurance and fitness certificates, as well as unrenewed driving licenses and permits.
In light of these irregularities, the department has called upon all concerned individuals to visit their respective District Transport Offices at the earliest to rectify their records. The initiative aims to streamline vehicle documentation and ensure compliance with transport regulations in the state.
