Mizoram: Two Women Arrested with Heroin Worth Rs 22.7 Lakh Near Aizawl
Aizawl, Mizoram – In a joint anti-narcotics operation, Assam Rifles and Mizoram Police arrested two women and seized heroin valued at Rs 22.7 lakh from their possession near Aizawl, according to an official statement.
The operation was conducted in Maubawk village based on a tip-off, leading to the recovery of 32.4 grams of heroin from the suspects. The arrested individuals include a local resident of Maubawk and a woman from Churachandpur district in Manipur.
Both the suspects and the confiscated drugs have been handed over to the Special Narcotics Police Station, CID (Crime) in Aizawl for further investigation. The operation underscores ongoing efforts by law enforcement to curb drug trafficking in the region.
