Mizoram’s Smart Cities Mission Introduces 5G-Enabled Ambulances at Zoram Medical College
Northeast Desk, 7th October: In a significant development, the Smart Cities Mission has handed over two 5G-enabled Advanced Life Support (ALS) Ambulances to Zoram Medical College and Civil Hospital Aizawl. Under this initiative, a total of 8 ambulances will be provided to 8 hospitals in Aizawl, including private hospitals.
These 5G ALS Ambulances, made available by Aizawl Smart City Limited, mark a pioneering step in the state of Mizoram. Each ambulance is equipped with essential medical equipment, including a defibrillator, cardiac monitor, transport ventilator, syringe infusion pump, video and audio conference devices for real-time doctor consultation, portable oxygen, spinal board, and scoop stretchers, among others.
The primary objective of these ambulances is to offer critical medical assistance to patients during transportation to the hospital, ensuring they receive timely treatment in emergencies. This initiative aligns with the broader goal of improving healthcare services and emergency response in Aizawl.
