Mizoram’s Tiranga Yatra Celebrates Independence Day and National Unity

Northeast Desk, 12th August: Mizoram’s Art and Culture Department on August 12 organized a ‘Tiranga Yatra’ in Aizawl city to mark the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign in honor of India’s Independence Day. The event saw 800 students participating in a vibrant march with the national flag.

Students from various schools in southern Aizawl, including Govt. Mamawii Higher Secondary School, Govt. JL Higher Secondary School, and Govt. Central Higher Secondary School, marched towards Vanapa Hall. Concurrently, students from Govt. Chaltlang Higher Secondary School and Govt. Mizo Higher Secondary School joined from the northern side of the city.

At the center of Aizawl, in front of Vanapa Hall, a ‘Har Ghar Tiranga Pledge’ was administered by Aizawl district Deputy Commissioner Er. Lalhriatpuia. He emphasized the event’s role in fostering unity and national integrity across diverse communities.

Following the march, a ‘Tiranga Concert’ is scheduled to take place at Vanapa Hall on August 13, continuing the celebration of the campaign’s spirit.
