MLA Lamtha Leads Inspection of Historic Sikkim Gumpa
Tathangchen, Sikkim: In a significant move to preserve Sikkim’s rich cultural heritage, MLA Tenzing Norbu Lamtha, along with Councilor Pema Lhamu Lamtha and officials from the Culture Department, conducted a thorough inspection of the historic Manilakhang Gumpa in Tathangchen.
The inspection aimed to evaluate the current state of the centuries-old gumpa and identify areas in need of urgent restoration and maintenance. The initiative underscores the government’s commitment to safeguarding Sikkim’s cultural heritage while promoting tourism through well-preserved historical sites.
