Guwahati: Conrad K. Sangma, national president of the National People’s Party (NPP) and chief minister of Meghalaya, stated that he would run for the South Tura seat in the 2023 Assembly elections as election fever swept numerous Indian states (most likely).

The Chief Minister, who is the incumbent MLA for the constituency, stated that he has not yet decided on a second seat from which he would run for office.

He declared that there would be no question about the fact that he would be running from the South Tura seat.
