Guwahati: In an inter-club war of Northeast Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) Championship 2022, Arunachal’s Sonam Zomba triumphs at All India Mixed Martial Arts Federation (AIMMAF) nationals held in Delhi from 17TH to 19th June.
In a proud moment for the state, she becomes the 1st athlete to win gold medal in MMA as well as striking MMA in female Straw weight category.
Meanwhile, she has been selected for Asian Championship and are participating in the championship.
Sonam has been representing Bidang MMA and Fitness gym headed by coach Higio Tarak.
It needs to be mentioned that All India Mixed Martial Arts Federation (AIMMAF) is an association formed by the martial artists to support and promote the best interests of MMA in India.
