Modi Government Extends Designation of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front as Unlawful Association
National Desk, 16th March: The ‘Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (Mohd. Yasin Malik faction)’ has been classified as a ‘Unlawful Association’ by the Modi administration for an additional five years.
Despite being outlawed, the group continues to actively promote secessionism and terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir. The government warns that anyone found undermining the country’s security, sovereignty, or integrity will face severe legal consequences.
Additionally, the Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League, consisting of four factions led by various individuals, has also been declared as “Unlawful Associations” by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA). This action aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s policy of zero-tolerance towards terrorism, as these groups have been implicated in fostering terror and advocating for secession in the region.
The Modi administration remains steadfast in its commitment to eradicating terrorism in all its manifestations.
