Modi to chair all-party meet on Friday to assess Covid-19 situation

PM Modi will chair an all-party meeting on Friday to review the Covid-19 situation in the country. According to sources, an all-party meeting has been called by the Prime Minister on December 4to discuss Covid-19 situation. PM Narendra Modi will chair the December 4 virtual meeting of floor leaders of all parties to discuss Covid-19 situation, the sources said.

“We need to speed up our efforts to reduce transmission of the virus. Testing, confirmation, contact tracing and data must be given top priority,” PM Modi said.

The high-level meeting was held to review the status and preparedness of Covid-19 response and management had a special emphasis on eight high focus states — Haryana, Delhi, Chhattisgarh, Kerala, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Gujarat and West Bengal. Modi discussed the vaccine distribution strategy with the CMs and also cautioned states and union territories against any laxity in fighting the Covid-19 pandemic.
