Modi’s Leadership Propels India Towards Global Power Status, Says Arunachal BJP Leader

ITANAGAR – Arunachal Pradesh Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) general secretary Tadar Niglar has lauded India’s ascent as a formidable global power, attributing the monumental shift to the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Speaking at the launch of the party’s week-long Independence Day celebrations, which commenced with a tree plantation drive at the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) headquarters, Niglar highlighted significant strides in the country’s defence, agriculture, and economic sectors.

Niglar specifically pointed to a series of national achievements as evidence of this transformation. He cited the success of Operation Sindoor and the development of next-generation BrahMos missiles as part of the ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ initiative, underscoring the nation’s growing self-reliance and defence prowess. On the economic front, he noted the International Monetary Fund’s (IMF) revised GDP growth forecast, projecting a robust 6.4 per cent for the financial years 2026 and 2027. Niglar remained unfazed by the recent 50 per cent US tariff, asserting that it would not derail India’s growth trajectory. He described the country’s progress as a “testament to resilience since Independence” and a crucial step towards realising Modi’s vision of a ‘Viksit Bharat’ by 2047, according to a party communiqué.

The launch event, spearheaded by state secretary-cum-convenor Lori Mugli, drew a diverse gathering, including ITBP jawans, state office-bearers, newly appointed morcha heads, and IMC corporators. The week-long celebrations, a vibrant tribute to the nation, will also feature the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign from August 11 to 14, cleanliness drives at historical sites, and a Tiranga Yatra bike rally aimed at honouring soldiers and martyrs.
