Kiren Rijiju, who has been a key figure in Modi’s previous cabinets, will also retain his position as a cabinet minister. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to take the oath of office for his third consecutive term at 7:15 PM today. This historic moment places him in a unique position, comparable to former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru, who also served three consecutive terms.

Ahead of the swearing-in ceremony, MPs designated to join the council of ministers attended a preparatory tea meeting at 7 Lok Kalyan Marg, the Prime Minister’s residence. The gathering saw the presence of prominent BJP leaders, including Dharmendra Pradhan, Kiren Rijiju, Jitin Prasada, and Ravneet Singh Bittu.

The new cabinet is anticipated to feature seasoned leaders such as Nirmala Sitharaman, Piyush Goyal, Ashwini Vaishnaw, and Mansukh Mandaviya. These leaders are expected to bring their extensive experience and expertise to Modi’s third-term administration, contributing to the governance and development goals set forth by the Prime Minister.
