Guwahati: A most wanted supari mafia has been arrested by the Guwahati police from a hotel in Beltola area on Tuesday morning.
The accused has been identified as Jasbir Singh Satowal, a resident of Nagpur.
According to reports, Jasbir was apprehended from hotel Tokyo Tower today morning.
Reportedly, Jasbir is accused for illegally smuggling supari from Burma and selling it in the international market.
Police added that other additional individuals are involved in the nexus and that efforts are being made to identify each of them.
Further investigation is underway.
