Guwahati: In an unfortunate incident, a city bus crashed into several vehicles after its driver died from a heart attack in Jabalpur of Madhya Pradesh.
During the incident, one person was killed while several others were injured as rickshaws and motorbikes were run over.
The fact that the bus was travelling at a reasonably slow pace and had a low floor helped to prevent individuals being dragged under it from worsening the situation.
Aftercolliding with an e-richshaw the bus later turned turtle.
According to the police, six persons including two children in the e-rickshaw and bus passengers suffered severe injuries. Unidentified elderly man was hit by a bus and later was declared dead while receiving treatment.
Meanwhile, the driver has been identified as 60-year-old Hardev Pal. He has spent ten years working for the City Metro bus service.
Pal died tragically after having a sudden heart attack while driving and colliding with the steering wheel.
