MP CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan washes feet of urination incident victim

National desk, 6 July: Chief minister of Madhya Pradesh Shivraj Singh Chouhan met the victim of the Sidhi urination incident on Thursday at the CM house in the state capital, Bhopal.

Chouhan greeted the victim, Dashmat Rawat and showed respect by washing his feet.

He also expressed regret to the victim for the act and said that watching the video had caused him much distress and pain.

“My heart is filled with pain; Dashmat ji this is an attempt to share your pain. Also, I apologize to you. For me, only people are god,” CM Chouhan wrote after meeting the victim.

Notably, the accused Pravesh Shukla (30) was seen peeing on Rawat in a viral video of the incident.

CM Shivraj Chouhan took notice of the situation and imposed stern measures, including charging the guilty under the National Security Act (NSA) on Tuesday, shortly after a video of the incident went viral on social media.

The accused Shukla was taken into custody early on Wednesday and booked under the NSA. The accused was taken to Central Jail Rewa after Sidhi Collector Saket Malviya issued an order in this respect.

The local government also destroyed his unlawful building on the same day.

A second video that went viral on social media on Wednesday showed the accused, Pravesh Shukla being brought by police for a medical checkup.
