MP Tapir Gao: PLA of China Abducts 17-Yr-Old from Arunachal Pradesh
Guwahati: The Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) has allegedly abducted a 17-year-old teenager from Upper Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh.
This information was provided on Wednesday by Tapir Gao, a Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) from Arunachal-East, who stated that the youth was kidnapped by the PLA on Tuesday from Indian Territory.
The youth has been identified as Miram Taron and he is a resident of Zido Village of the district.
Informing the news on Twitter Tapir Gao wrote, “Chinese #PLA has abducted Sh Miram Taron, 17 years of Zido vill. yesterday 18th Jan 2022 from inside Indian territory, Lungta Jor area (China built 3-4 kms road inside India in 2018) under Siyungla area (Bishing village) of Upper Siang dist, Arunachal Pradesh.”

“All the agencies of Govt of India are requested to step up for his early release,” Gao stated in another tweet and posted pictures of the abducted boy.

According to Tapir Gao, Taron was captive from the Siyungla area of Bishing village when he had gone for hunting along with his friend. The abduction took place inside the Indian Territory.
According to news agency PTI, Taron’s companion Johny Yaiying who managed to flee, told the authorities about the PLA kidnapping.
However, both are residents of Zido village and local hunters.
The incident took place near the point where the Tsangpo River enters India in Arunachal Pradesh.
Gao further stated that he informed Union Minister of State for Home Nisith Pramanik about the incident and asked him to take appropriate action.
Gao included Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, and the Indian Army in his tweet so that the boy might be easily tracked down with the government’s help.
