Much Awaited Zoo Road Flyover Inaugurated by Assam CM

Guwahati, 19th October: The long-awaited and much-anticipated ‘Shraddhanjali Flyover’ became a reality on October 19, 2023, as Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma inaugurated this remarkable infrastructure project. The flyover serves as a vital link connecting Commerce Point to Sundarpur, spanning the length of R G Baruah Road, and further extending to Geetanagar via Mother Teresa Road, just above the Zoo-Road Tiniali.

The ‘Shraddhanjali Flyover’ stretches across a total distance of 2.28 kilometers, comprising a significant 1.98-kilometer section over R G Baruah Road, and an additional 330 meters over Mother Teresa Road. The project was brought to fruition with a total cost of ₹316 crore, signifying a significant investment in enhancing the city’s infrastructure and transportation network.

The successful completion and inauguration of the ‘Shraddhanjali Flyover’ mark a significant milestone in Guwahati’s growth and development. This new infrastructure will not only alleviate traffic congestion but also contribute to a more efficient and convenient commute for the city’s residents and visitors.
