Mukesh Ambani Lauds Assam’s Growth Under PM Modi at Advantage Assam 2.0
Guwahati: Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani praised Assam’s remarkable progress under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership while addressing the Advantage Assam 2.0 summit. Beginning his speech by invoking the blessings of Maa Kamakhya, Ambani extended his wishes for the prosperity of Assam and the nation.
Highlighting the theme of the event, he remarked, “While this event is titled ‘Advantage Assam,’ the real advantage for every Assamese and every Indian is the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.” He credited Modi with bringing four key transformations to Assam and the Northeast over the past 11 years, reshaping the region’s economic and developmental landscape.
Ambani first pointed out that Modi has shifted Assam and the Northeast from the periphery to the center of India’s development agenda. He noted that the Prime Minister has visited the region over 70 times—more than any of his predecessors—demonstrating an unprecedented commitment to its progress.
Secondly, he emphasized the significance of the ‘Act East, Act Fast, Act First’ vision, which has positioned Assam as a critical economic hub. According to Ambani, Assam’s rapid growth potential could soon make it an economic gateway, attracting investments from Southeast and East Asia.
Thirdly, he applauded the connectivity revolution underway in Assam and the Northeast. Beyond physical and digital infrastructure improvements, he acknowledged Modi’s governance for fostering developmental and emotional integration, strengthening Assam’s ties with the rest of the country.
Ambani’s remarks underscored the evolving role of Assam as a key driver of India’s growth, with strategic investments and policy initiatives paving the way for a prosperous future.
