Northeast Desk, 15th June: In a major reshuffle within the Meghalaya Police, Senior police official Mukesh Singh has been appointed as the Commandant General of Civil Defence and Home Guards. This move was part of a series of transfers and postings announced by the Meghalaya Home Department on June 14.
Sylvester Nongtnger has returned as Superintendent of Police (SP) of East Khasi Hills, replacing Rituraj Ravi, who will now serve as the Commandant of the 6th MLP in Umran. The following are other notable transfers:
