Guwahati: One person was killed while 18 others sustained injuries after a part of a three-story residential structure fell in Mumbai’s suburban Bandra on Wenesday night.
The incident took place at around 12.30 am.
The Mumbai civic body, fire department, and police arrived at the spot after being notified of the occurrence.
The search and rescue operation were called off after two people were retrieved from the wreckage of the fallen structure.
According to reports, 19 people were injured and brought to a nearby hospital, where one of them was declared dead by the doctors. The deceased person has been identified as 55-year-old Shahnawaz Alam.
The official further said that one person is now receiving treatment at the Bhabha hospital while the other 17 injured people were discharged after treatment.
