Mumbai Police Seize Drugs Worth Over Rs 1,000 Crores
Guwahati: Mumbai police made a major narcotic bust, seizing almost 500 kg of illegal substances estimated to be worth Rs 1,026 crores.
The drugs were reportedly taken on August 13 during a raid at a Gujarati manufacturing facility for mephedrone or MD.
According to PTI, the Worli unit’s Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) intervened in the situation.
Based on a tip, there was a raid at a manufacturing facility in the Gujarati town of Ankleshwar. They seized 513 kilograms of synthetic drug.
The ANC team also arrested the owner of the drug unit, Giriraj Dixit, who reportedly holds a master’s degree in Chemistry, informed officials.
