Mumbai Tourist Lauds Sikkim Police for Swift Refund Resolution
Gangtok: Surbhi Dighe, a Mumbai-based social media influencer, has publicly expressed her heartfelt appreciation for the Sikkim Police’s rapid intervention in resolving a long-standing refund issue encountered during her recent trip to Gangtok.
Dighe had initially booked a three-night stay at a local accommodation, but an unsatisfactory experience led her to check out prematurely.
Despite assurances from the property management that a refund would be processed within a few days, Dighe found herself waiting for over a month, with repeated follow-ups yielding no results.
Frustrated, she turned to the Sadar Police Station in Gangtok for assistance, where she was met with immediate and empathetic action.
Police Inspector Niraj Khatiwada, the Station House Officer (SHO), took immediate cognizance of her complaint.
Within an hour, a police representative was dispatched to the property, and the pending refund was successfully processed and returned to Dighe.
Deeply impressed by the expeditious resolution, Dighe took to her social media platforms to commend the Sikkim Police for their efficiency, professionalism, and integrity. She specifically praised SHO Khatiwada and his team for their prompt response and compassionate approach to addressing tourist grievances.
“This experience has truly restored my faith in public systems,” Dighe stated, emphasizing the professional and caring manner in which the Sikkim Police handled her case, highlighting their dedication to tourists and citizens.
