Guwahati: The Munin Barkotoki Literary Award 2022 has been conferred to young story writer Upasana Saikia.
The award was given in honour to Upasana Saikia for her manuscript of short stories, “Halodhiya Jota.”
The eminent author, critic, and journalist Munin Barkotoki inspired the creation of the Munin Barkotoki Memorial Trust.
This prize was established to support upcoming young Assamese authors.
Along with a citation and a trophy the honour also comes with a cash prize of Rs 50,000.
