Nagaland: ANTA alleges collection from taxis
Guwahati: The All-Nagaland Cab Association (ANTA) has claimed that “some unwelcome element” was illegally collecting Rs 3000 per taxi in the name of a “Nagaland taxi owner’s Association” that did not exist in Dimapur Nagaland.
In a press release, ANTA Dimapur unit president Tohozhe Awomi and ANTA H.Q. Kohima president Ghotoi Awomi said the association “highly condemned” such extortion against the taxis.
The undersigned have urged the Dimapur administration and law enforcement to apprehend the perpetrator as soon as possible. They claimed that such behaviour harmed and tarnished the association’s and the cab operators’ reputations in particular.
