Nagaland: Bangladesh Air Force delegation visits Dimapur to honor India’s role in Liberation War

Northeast Desk, 1st November: A delegation of 20 members from the Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) recently made a visit to Dimapur, India, to honor India’s significant role in the Liberation War of Bangladesh. The Indian Air Force warmly welcomed the delegation, fostering interactions between BAF and IAF officers and personnel. This visit is a testament to the historical connection between Kilo Flight and the inception of the Bangladesh Air Force in Dimapur in 1971. It underscores the enduring bond between the Air Forces of India and Bangladesh.

Additionally, in another development, the Eastern Air Command of the Indian Air Force emphasized the deep-rooted historical interactions between the two countries’ Air Forces, highlighting the profound friendship and cooperation.

Recently, India and Bangladesh held their 15th Joint Working Group on Trade meeting in Dhaka, where both countries discussed various bilateral matters. They reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing economic engagement, regional cooperation, and sustainable development, with a positive outlook for future trade relations. The discussions covered topics like infrastructure development, port constraints, the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), standard harmonization, and more. These meetings play a vital role in addressing trade-related issues and fostering economic cooperation.
