Nagaland: Commercial Vehicle Owners Association Declares ‘Chakka Bandh’ Due to Unpaid Bills
Northeast Desk, 3rd November: The All Commercial Vehicle Owners Association (ACVOA) has announced a “Chakka bandh” starting from November 3.
The primary reason for this strike is the state government’s failure to make payments for vehicles requisitioned during the 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly Election 2023.
This bandh will not only affect Mokokchung District but also all districts where All Nagaland Taxi Association (ANTA) units are present.
Additionally, the All Commercial Vehicles Association (ACVA) in Wokha has expressed its support for the proposed “Chakka Bandh.”
In a press release, ACVA Wokha’s president, C. Renbi Ngullie has stated that the association will enforce an “indefinite bandh” in Wokha, commencing from midnight on November 7, right after the Festival of Lotha Tokhu Emong.
