Nagaland Congress Protests to Uphold Constitutional Values, Honors Dr. B.R. Ambedkar

Kohima: The Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) organized a protest rally on January 27 at Congress Bhavan in Kohima to honor Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and uphold the principles of the Indian Constitution.

As part of the ongoing ‘Jai Bapu, Jai Bhim, Jai Samvidhan Abhiyan,’ the rally also criticized the BJP for alleged remarks against Dr. Ambedkar and attempts to undermine constitutional values.

Lok Sabha MP and NPCC President S. Supongmeren Jamir reaffirmed the Congress party’s dedication to protecting constitutional principles, advocating for justice, equality, and democracy.

Working President Khriedi Theunuo voiced concerns about BJP’s actions eroding constitutional integrity and tarnishing the legacies of Ambedkar and Mahatma Gandhi. He stressed that India’s unity and democracy rely on safeguarding constitutional values and ensuring the rights of all citizens.

The protest emphasized the significance of the Constitution in maintaining justice, equality, and the aspirations of the Indian people.
