Nagaland Deputy Chief Minister urges for global unity against terrorism amid Israel-Hamas conflict
Northeast Desk, 13th October: Nagaland’s Deputy Chief Minister, Yanthungo Patton, has made a strong call for a united global front against terrorism, emphasizing that religious affiliation should not influence this collective stance.
This statement comes against the backdrop of the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict, a situation that has garnered significant international attention and debate.
Patton taking to microblogging site ‘X’ highlighted the importance of people worldwide standing together against terrorism, irrespective of their religious backgrounds. He pointed out that India has maintained a resolute position against terrorism, a stance consistently echoed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Patton stressed that aligning with terrorism, whether as an individual or a political party, raises serious questions about their commitment to global well-being and peace.
“Regardless of the religious compositions, it is essential that we, as people of the world, never side with terror and terrorists. India has been clear about it, and the stance has been strongly echoed by our Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji,” Patton said in his post.
Additionally, Patton expressed that any entity supporting terrorism should be approached with caution and should undergo scrutiny and containment, whether within India or anywhere else in the world. This message underscores the importance of international cooperation in addressing the global challenge of terrorism.
