Nagaland Deputy CM T R Zeliang Attributes Infrastructure Delays to Land Compensation Issues
Nagaland: Nagaland’s Deputy Chief Minister, T R Zeliang, has identified land compensation disputes as a primary obstacle to the timely completion of infrastructure projects, particularly those involving national highways.
Speaking on November 15, Zeliang urged the public to refrain from obstructing these vital projects over land-related disagreements, emphasizing that such delays hinder the state’s development.
Zeliang recently toured Phek, Kiphire, Shamator, Tuensang, and Mokokchung districts to review the progress of National Highway projects. During the visit, he appealed for greater cooperation among all stakeholders, highlighting that uninterrupted work is essential for the successful execution of government-sanctioned projects.
“Collaboration and public support are critical,” Zeliang stated, stressing that contractors must be allowed to operate without disruptions once projects commence. His remarks come amid growing concerns over stalled infrastructure projects across the state, which are crucial for improving connectivity and driving economic growth in Nagaland.
The Deputy Chief Minister’s appeal reflects the government’s efforts to address long-standing challenges in infrastructure development, urging citizens to prioritize the collective benefits of completed projects over individual compensation disputes.
